Our experiment will help the blind community by making their lives significantly easier. If a blind person learned how to echolocate, their lives would be exceptionally easier because its convenient, reliable, and can be learned with progress within an hour. It is more convenient than using white cane or seeing dog because it is something you can use anywhere without stress and hassle like a seeing dog would bring. Carrying a stick or taking a dog everywhere is far less convenient than using echolocation to navigate. Echolocation could also help the blind to do things they aren’t usually able to do, like riding a bike. It would also change how normal people like us see blind people. In fact, if a blind person was using echolocation, a normal person may not notice. That would change how a normal person would typically judge a blind person because with echolocation, it would be like the blind person could see. Therefore, our project not only helps the blind lead a easier and more relaxing life, but it also helps with stereotypes about the blind.
